Suggest Treatment For Wart In Groin Area
Question: I am a 44 years old female. I had some warts removed by cautery when I was 7 years old. They were on my abdomen shoulder and 1 groin wart. The one in the groin was not totally removed as it was painful under local anesthesia and I wasn't very still. It has left a fleshy skin growth which hasn't changed after all these years I recently had a gynecological exam which was normal and I have 2 kids. I want to ask if I should remove it or leave it what is the risk of leaving it. I. s the original lesion was rough and brown and this left over lesion is soft and fleshy. The other warts on my abdomen and shoulder didn't leave much marks.

Dont worry about it

Thanks doctor. Just wanted to ask if this is due to hpv or not necessarily and what else could it be Since I have had it for such a long time.
Brief Answer:
This is just a skin tag
Detailed Answer:
Hi
This cannot be HPV as it has appeared so early in life and you have excised it.
This is more likely to be a harmless skin tag. There is absolutely nothing to fear.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
