fluids/electrolytes, probiotics

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhea are most commonly related to viral or bacterial infection of the gastrointestinal tract.

Light headed sensation or dizziness occurs as a result of fluid and electrolyte loss both from the fluids loss from vomiting/diarrhea and also decreased oral intake.

Your appetite will return but the use of fluids and electrolytes is more important. These are essential.
You need to consider the use of either oral rehydration packets from your local pharmacy or gatorade. Because of the nausea, you should use only very small amounts initially eg 1 tsp to 1 tbs every 5 or so minutes then the amount should be increased if tolerated.

Probiotics would help speed up resolution by putting back the good bacteria into the intestines, they help shorten the course.
These can be obtained on their own or in yogurts with probiotics

When you have no symptoms for a 4 hour period then restart eating but bland foods only initially

There are medications such as peptobismol and lomotil that may help with the diarrhea.

Summary: (1) light headed sensation due to fluid and electrolyte loss
(2)fluids and electrolyte need to be replaced , this is the most important aspect of management
(3)probiotics would help
(4)hold off food till 4 hours with no symptoms
(5)there are other meds that may help

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
