Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have been diagnosed to have Varicocele.

1) Have you done ultrasound Scanning of Scrotum and Color Doppler Scan study of Scrotum ?
2) If yes what is the grade of Varicocele ?
3) Are you married ? and trying for pregnancy?
4) Have you done your semen analysis and what is the sperm count?
Normally surgery for Varicocele is indicated in following two conditions
1) If patient has severe pain in scrotum
2) If patient is being investigated for infertility and detected to have low sperm count (Oligospermia).This helps to increase sperm count in 30% of patients.
There are no surgical or post surgical complications.
