Suggest Treatment For Vaginal Yeast Infection
Question: After 5 days of using antibiotics. I got a yeast infection. I used monistat to get rid of it, but it left me with excruciating pain in my clitoris, actually it's just the tip of the clitoris that hurts and it has a whitish color to it. I have tried sitz bath, yogurt and even went as far as to pop an antibiotic capsule and apply it directly to the site. I have been dealing with this for 5 days now.

Probably the yeast infection still persists. The pain in clitoris is due to inflammation due to the infection.
We usually advice to apply anti yeast medication for at least 15 days even after the lesions have healed.
This helps in complete cure.
I would suggest you to apply ointment clotrimazole twice daily for 15 days or else you can continue with the medication you were previously applying.
