Suggest Treatment For Upset Stomach, Vomiting And Foul Smelling Burps

Question: My stomach has been feeling upset since Friday. On Friday night and Saturday I vomited everything I ate on Friday. I slept all day Sat. Since then my stomach remains upset. I burp and in the morning especially the burp smells bad as does an odor coming from my mouth ..not bad breath, it smells like it is coming from my stomach. I have cirrhosis but last check functions were normal. My gallbladder is removed. Should I go to ER or try to see my Dr?

I am a Gastroenterologist.

I dont think there is anything of concerns. In my opinion it is gastritis. I will suggest you to take a proton pump inhibitor like ilaprazole and a prokinetic agent like levosulpiride. They come in combination, to be taken once in a day before breakfast. It has better efficacy then omeprazole which you are taking. Also add one antiemetic agent like ondansetron for relief in vomiting.
