Suggest Treatment For Unusual Purple Bruising On Stomach

default
Posted on Tue, 21 Jul 2015
Question: A couple of days ago I awake from a nap with a purple bruise on my stomach. There is no pain and the bruise is now starting to lighten. I was sleeping at the time on my stomach and thought maybe I had slept on a hard object or something.

Brief Answer:
bruise from trauma, aspirin increases risk of bleeding

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concern.

The purple bruise you saw on your stomach is indicating possible trauma.

A hard object might have caused it if you recall to have slept over.

As you are taking aspirin on daily basis, it increases the risk of bleeding even if it is a small object.

However it is good that it's getting lighter now, there is nothing worrisome. It means it is under healing process. A heparin cream can help heal faster or let it heal on its own.

Hope it was of help!
