Hi, I am Dr Mittal. I have read your query. I think I would be able to help you.

The combination of medicines that has been prescribed by the doctor to you is indeed a very potent combination. The sugars should definitely get better controlled by the combination therapy.

However, I think it would be good to point out that the HBA1C thar to have reported does not seem to have changed much. In all it suggests that the bad control has been existent for at least 6 month. What's more, I don't consider 170s a very good control. I prefer to keep the patients that I an treating around 140.

I think I would suggest that you meet up with a dietician also. I recommend a regular exercise campaign as well- nothing extraordinary, a simple walk is good enough as well.

Also, as I said before, the combination of the medicines is a potent combination. So make sure you check your sugars regularly, with a 7glucometer. This record is more reliable to me than the laboratory reports.

I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information helps you. Please feel free to contact us for more information. Best of luck. Dr Mittal.

thanks for the valuable suggestions. I have already taken advice of the dietician and going to follow her advice. my worry is that my Vit-c level is also very low ,whether it has got any relation to level of sugar in the body. moreover doctor is advising me to take hopace 2.5 mg daily whereas My blood pressure some time remains low in other times it remains normal. when it goes low I reported a mild headache. Please advise 1. Whether there is production of insulin in my body still date? 2.what is the best medicine for secreation of insulin with out any side effect?
3.i am taking Nutrilite daily one tab daily ,shall I continue the same ?4. What is reason of prescribing Nuramax 1500? Please provide your advice please.

Hi
You see vitamin C levels can be easily and naturally replaced, you can use a citrus fruit a day e.g. lemons and oranges. the body absorbs the vitamin C easily. So that is a natural way of getting vitamin C. And no, it has no issues with sugars.

As for BP medicine, most doctors suggest it because of its positive effects on heart muscles. However if your blood pressures are normal, I wont suggest it either.

As for the insulin, most tablets make the pancreas secrete insulin, others make the insulin more effective in the body. Since the tablets are working, It suppose the body is still producing insulin. You can help the body by working out and doing exercise regularly. This helps the secreted insulin become more effective.

You can continue nutrilite. There is no problem with that. They are basically like vitamin supplements. As said before, taking them will cause no harm.

As for nuramax, it is usually prescribed for the nerves. Long standing diabetics are known to have nerve damage, which can be reduced by the tablet

I hope that the information helps you.
Best of luck
