Brief Answer:
May be due to transient depression

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for asking on this platform

After going through the detail,it appears to be due to transient depressive disorder.
There must be some underlying reason which she is not willing to share with you.
Here I would suggest you to befriend with her.Ask about the reason behind this mood fluctuation.
The other option is that you may ask one of her close friend regarding this.
I won't get overly worried as this mood change is of short duration and any medical treatment is usually not needed.Only thing which she needs is councelling.
you may also consult a psychiatrist to solve the issue.

I hope this makes you more confident for the discussion with her.
Please feel free to ask if you have any other query.

Regards

Brief Answer:
Please consult a psychologist to rule out social anxiety disoder

Detailed Answer:
Hi

I am sorry for misinterpretation.
Initially I thought that this is a recent onset condition.
But as this is there since childhood,I would like to rule out a condition called 'childhood social anxiety disorder'.Here child avoid social contact, don't want to talk with peers and may cause poor school performance.
In this condition other activities remain normal.
