Only treatment for meniscal tear is Arthroplasty,which is a day care surgery.
Its a minimal invasive surgery.

Doctor is yet to confirm my tear and need for surgery.
But If at all It is confirmed They have suggested me two treatment
1. One as you said is the surgery
2. the other one is Regenexx Stem cell therapy which is non surgical.
Though Both will require 1.5 lakh...I would prefer the non surgical one
I need a very important information with regard to insurance claim. A "meniscus tear" is listed in day care disease document provided by Bajaj Allianz, So I need an insurance
from you people that it would be covered under insurance so that I can proceed with MRI and then get the treatment on confirmation.
But If at all It is confirmed They have suggested me two treatment

Stem cell therapy is waste of money and it is not going to help you at all.
Arthroscopy is really useful and a day care surgery and it costs hardly 40K,but not 1.5 lakh.
Coming to your insurance, if you want to claim, then you have to stay in hospital for 1 day.

Doctor just a couple of questions I need to clarify.
1. In the document provided by Bajaj Allianz, For day care treatment, One do not have to compulsorily stay in hospital for 24 hrs and meniscus tear also do fall in that day care category as per the document. So even for this treatment I will have to get admitted and will have to stay for more than 24 hours in order to raise a claim?
2. I am not sure about the total cost of the both kind of treatment But whatever be the cost, Once I get any of those, Will I be eligible for claim after submitting my MRI report and other doctor report.. ?
I need the assurance from you people then only I can proceed with the treatment as its bit costly.
