Question: I have a torn medial meniscus in my left knee . One of our calves go stuck in its mother and we tied a lasso around the feet that were hanging out and pulled took three of us pretty big folks to pull him free but he made thank the Lord . However the mother did not. Anyway when I was pulling I dropped to my knee on some rocks on the ground in all the excitement and now I can't walk at all nothing is broken I'm sure but I'm scheduled for surgery Thursday I also have a hypertrophic fat pad whatever that is just sounds like more work for the surgeon to me could I have possibly caused more damage with the strain of my weight which is 316# when I dropped to the ground on both knees when the calf pulled free ? It sure hurts something awful to take a step I mean I can walk but the pain is almost unbearable deep inside the knee cap. Please I'll take any professional answer you got except going to the Dr before my surgery in two days. Please help??

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I have studied your case and clinical photo,

I will advise to
Rest the part and avoid any movements that produce pain.
Apply ice or a cold pack to the painful area for 15 to 20 minutes, 4 times a day. Wrap the ice or cold pack in a towel.
Till time you can take anti-inflammatory and antibiotic if infection is suspected.

If swelling and bruise is not reducing and giving pain while I will advise you to further investigate
I will advise you to do X ray and Ultrasound of the knee effusion.
