Brief Answer:
There will be no problem if you dont get operated

Detailed Answer:

Tonsillitis is not an absolute indication for surgery and all patients can be managed conservatively with medications. I am not sure about the efficacy and safety of homeopathic medicines as we do not deal with them.

Surgery is only indicated when the child has difficulty in breathing at night consequently the child will be sleepy in morning and the school performance will drop.

There will be no problem in the immunity even if you get the tonsils removed and this has been proven in many scientific studies.

Coming to your other queries recurrent tonsillitis will reduce school performance and quality of life, but is unlikely to cause growth retardation or curbing. Your second statement is also correct, as the child age increases the tonsillitis will automatically remove and by the child is 10-12 years old , he is unlikely to get the infection. Please remember his is the natural course of the infection and happens in most of the kids, however there will still be a few kids where the tonsils will continue to be a focus of infection and may need continued medications/surgery.

Hope i have answered all your doubts

Take care!

i've been having a soar throat for about 5 weeks now. I already seen an ENT and he used his scope and said it a little red and that it was acid reflux. I don't buy that. I think he just did not know what caused the redness. I did endure EXTREME stress and some depression with work, but that was 2 month ago. My regular voice is 98% unaffected, but my falsetto voice(im a singer) is breaking up and high range goes out intermittently. I'm afraid i may have cancer.

Hi there. Would you say that tonsils normally have a spongy look to them? My brother has had a sore throat for a while and has also been having tonsil stones and I just looked in his mouth and his tonsils look as if they are becoming porous with holes that actually looks like a large sponge from the ocean.

For years I ve suffered with a sore throat on and off in the spring and in winter.Once as a teenager I even had strep throat. But through it all my throat, tonsils, etc always returned to normal. Also once every so often I ve always gotten tiny tonsil stones that are just little bigger than a sesame seed.About 3 years ago I had tonsillitis for a week or a little over a week. After it passed my uvula still had red veins on it that were hard to miss.Since then my tonsils would randomly swell up feeling like I had a lump in my throat.Sometimes it was only my right tonsil though but this time it was more than my right tonsil swelling. This time a hint of tonsillitis tried to flare up.I tried to treat it in a way that would normally knock off any cold or virus. The Apple Cider Vinegar stopped it for awhile but it returned a day later. Before it returned I noticed that my tonsils had red veins just like my uvula does. Also my tonsils are pale (that may be due to me being kind of anemic) my left one bled a little when I tried to remove the white/pale yellow stuff from it.My question is what are the red veins from and will I ever be able to get rid of them? Also does the night air keep infecting me with tonsillitis?I ve noticed that everytime I m out at night, especially during the winter that I end up sick in some way the next morning.I apologize for typing so much but I wanted to fully explain what led to my current situation.Thank you.
