Question: I am experiencing very fast, loud drumming in my ear. For the past several days. It seems to be getting worse and echoing further. Are there ear drops or anything I can take for this? It is difficult to sleep.

Brief Answer:
It can be tinnitus, you need external ear examination and audiogram

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Welcome to health care magic! Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We will try to help you in best way possible. First of all, it is sad to know what you had gone through.

Based on the history you have shared, it seems as you are having tinnitus which is just a sign and not a disease itself. So it's better to get a detailed ENT examination including external auditary meatus, ear drum and hearing tests like webber etc as well as a digital audiogram.

Also a detailed examination of associated nystagmus and sole basic neurological examination may also be needed. Meanhwile pouring any ear drops isn't a good idea before the examination as it can lead to side effects.

You may start using betahistine orally after consulting with your primary doctor. Wishing you a speedy recovery. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Regards.
