Question: I sit most of the time in a day usually 7-8 hours. After sitting for 1-2 hours on chair , my legs starts paining. Its not severe pain but I get distracted with this pain. The area of pain is between knee and ankle of my legs.

I have started going GYM for 1 hour too.

Please suggest what to do to get rid of this problem which is in initial phase.

Brief Answer:
keep yourself moving or XXXXXXX as long as possible

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

The symptoms you are experiencing is quite normal. As we sit on chair for hours together without making active movement, there is pooling of the blood in the legs between the knees and the ankles. Hence, we get the pain and numbness and tingling feeling. This is more so if one is overweight or obese.

If you are overweight or obese, I suggest you to reduce your weight. Going to gym is a very good option, continue to do so.

To get rid of the problem, you should get up from your chair and walk around for atleast 5 minutes once in every hour.

Keep yourself moving or XXXXXXX as long as possible. Do sit ups in between your office breaks.

Finally, you can get your serum calcium and vitamin D levels tested to see if they are low. Treatment can be taken accordingly, if need be.

take care!
