Brief Answer:
Supportive care , needs work up and management.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Throat pain with difficulty swallowing for both solids and liquids followed by starting pineapple and cookies and history of pravastatin use for 4 days need to be correlated. It could be side effect of pravastatin, which causes extreme gastric discomfort, acid reflux which may manifest as throat pain, myalgias, and chest pains. I would like you to get evaluated by an otolaryngologist for this dysphagia and let them assess the throat or rule out any other obstructive anatomical or functional cause for this swallowing / deglutition. If all clear then its likely the side effect of this statin which may need to be replaced . Till then call your pravastatin prescriber and ask them about its possible halt till next consult. Use warm salt water gargles for throat pain and use warm comforting beverages and throat lozenges as soothing remedies.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself an dont forget to close the discussion please.

Khan
