Brief Answer:
Continue medicines, gargling....

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I am sorry I was unable to address your daughter's condition earlier. I was away from internet services during this weekend.

May I know who prescribed altrocin, in what doses and duration. Commonly it is prescribed as 500mg pills to be taken three times a day for 5 days. You should be aware that it can cause gastritis and loose stool. If she is tolerating it well, she should continue the antibiotic.

Yes, her symptoms seem like acute pharyngitis +/- tonsillitis. It could be a severe viral infection or a bacterial infection and antibiotic therapy will benefit her. In addition to antibiotics, I will encourage her to gargle with warm mixed with salt or betadine gargling solution. I will also start her on antihistamine pills to treat any associated rhinosinusitis. You can also give her chewable vitamin C pills (tab limcee) once a day for a week or two.

Does she have any breathing issues? Is she having noisy breathing? Is she coughing?

Awaiting more details...

Regards
