Suggest Treatment For Throat Infection And Fever

Question: The key facts:
(1) Around end July, I went for a regular check to my Gastroenterologist. My 3-yearly endoscopy was not due, but he asked me to get some routine tests done before the endoscopy in October. At that point, I had no discomfort at all, apart from occasional gas.
(2) My LDL had always been consistent around 120, and LDL at around 43 for the last ten years. My liver has always been a bit enlarged, but my SGPT/SOPT had always been normal. But the new reports showed a very high SGPT/SOPT, plus high cholesterol. Question: In spite of exercising and moderated diet, and almost zero alcohol, why did the SGPT/SOPT shoot up?
(3) The doctor started me on Heptral 400 bi-daily, Vitamin E 400 bi-daily, and Rosulip 10 once a day.
(4) I also got a fibroscan done of my liver. The level was 7.2. The doctor said there is no fibrosis, but there is a lot of fat accumulation.
(5)Two weeks later, after a trip to the mountains, I had a SEVERE throat infection and fever went up to 102. The ENT prescribed Augmentine Duo and Zerodol SP (Both I was having for the first time). I broke into severe urticaria and discontinued Augmentine Duo and switched over to an Azethral and Allegra 120 a day (I have had both these drugs before). Question: Was the rash due to a reaction to Augmentine or contraindications with the liver drugs?
(6) Surprisingly, the SEVERE throat pain disappeared the day after I had started Augmentine Duo and Zerodol SP. Question: Can pain from severe laryngitis (the ENT is known to me - he said it was so bad, he was considering hospitalizing me) disappear in 12 hours with 3 doses of Augmentine Duo and/or 4 tablets of Zerodol SP?
(7) My fever came down to 99 in 3 days, but since then, I have had low-grade fever (98.8 - 100) almost all the time. It is over 12 days now since my medication started. My 6 days of Azethral finished day before. Although I have no throat ache, my voice is slightly choked. I am having Zerodol SP SOS - once a day. Question: Could the low-grade fever be due to the laryngitis for so long? Or could this be a side effect of my liver medicines?
(8) Today, I decided not to have the Zerodol SP. My fever has gone down from 99.2 to 98.8 to 99.4 in a span of 2 hours.
(9) I am supposed repeat my blood test end September.

Two more reports submitted. To double-check the results, I repeated the tests at another reputed lab. The findings were roughly the same.

Brief Answer:
All queries addressed sir

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. As you have quite clear questions sir, I do not wish to mix them up and so I shall answer all of them individually for your better understanding.

2. There are various other contributing factors to a rise in LDL (cholesterol) levels and SGPT/SGOT levels, which are not necessarily related to diet and exercise. Let me list a few of these causes out for you as examples:
-Infections (which you have a positive history of)
-Insulin resistance
-Thyroid abnormalities
-Abnormalities around the body that can trigger an immune response
-Low immunity
and a few others sir. So finding the cause would be necessary, but there is a chance that the cause in your case could be the infections.

5. Both are possibilities; if you experienced the urticaria immediately after taking the augmentin DUO then the cause is most probably an allergic reaction, but if you experienced the urticaria after a while then it could be possible that there was a drug interaction with other medications you were on

6. All antibiotics are usually given at least 48 hours to show signs of improvement, but as you are speaking about the pain here; it could have subsided as a result of the zerodol SP which was prescribed, as this is a pain management medication

7. I suspected the low-grade fever is due to the laryngitis, and you might have to re-visit your doctor. Because, in medicine as long as fever is still present, the infection is still present.

I greatly appreciate the detail and elaborate nature of your query sir. In most cases, due to this being an online consultation we doctors have to work with very less information and cannot always ask as many questions to the user as we would like to.

I hope you find my response helpful. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I would be more than happy to help you sir.

Best wishes.
