Brief Answer:
Can start within a week.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
After taking the injection, your periods should start within a week. Since the endometrium is thickened, the bleeding is likely to be heavier than normal. This usually happens due to a minor hormonal imbalance. Taking a regular oral contraceptive pill help.

Brief Answer:
Hormonal tablets will help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
You can consult your gynecologist and get hormonal tablets prescribed to get a normal period. The sensitivity of breasts can be hormone related. To find out if it is due to menopause, you can get your serum FSH levels evaluated.
Hope my answer is helpful.
