Suggest Treatment For Tendinitis At Left Hip

default
Posted on Tue, 2 Jun 2015
Question: I believe my left knee needs some work done and I have ignored this while continuing to run on it ( I am a long-time daily runner, although much reduced). But for the last week my upper-inside hip (left) has been in some pain...and today I could not fully run on it. Also ignored but my hips have been giving me some pain--not like now--but at times it feels like they're being ripped from the bone....just a small synopsis

Brief Answer:
It seems to be tendinitis at left hip.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.

From description it seems to be tendinitis at left hip.
This type of pain related to overuse or physical activity.

Slight modifications in your life style can help.

- Do regular hip and knee exercises .
- Always warm up before exercising and cool down afterwards. Stretch your muscles.
- Lose weight if you are overweight.
- Make sure your running shoes are made well, fit well, and have good cushioning

You can take anti-inflammatory drug like motrin 1 tablet with food as and when required (upto 4 tablets daily) to reduce pain and inflammation.

I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.

Take care
