Question: recently my cheeks and jaws get tired when I talk to much. also my teeth are occasionally hitting each other when I talk. what could be causing this?

As far as tiredness of cheeks , jaw and hitting of teeth is concerned this can be due to multiple causes like Temporomandibular joint disorder , Bruxism due to anxiety , aggression or anger . I would like to know more details to guide you better .
- Do you feel tiredness in jaw during chewing food also ?
- Is there any pain, clicking or proping sound on wide opening your mouth ?
- Is your cheek or jaw swollen ?
-Do you have any medical history like Blood pressure or you are taking any medication ?
- Do you feel dull headache ?
-Any detal treatment you have taken recently like Extraction or Restoration ?

I do not have pain or click it when opening it . I haven't had any dental work recently. I have borderline high blood pressure but do not take meds for it. I take low estrogen birth Control. I don't really feel tired when chewing. I don't feel a dull headache but I occasionally wake up with headaches. they go away with advil.

Welcome again .

I have gone through your answers . As far as tiredness of cheek and jaw bone is concerned this can be due to Bruxism ( habit of clenching and grinding of teeth ) . See XXXXXXX ridpath bruxism is associated with stress and symptoms commonly associated with bruxism is tiredness and soreness of facial muscles , loss of enamel of teeth (attrition) . Bruxism is treated with appliance known as mouthguard .
For this I will suggest you to consult good oral surgeon for clinical examination of oral cavity and facial muscles . Inmeantime avoid taking any type of stress ,anxiety , aggression or anger .Take complete rest . Do warm saline rinses 2 to 3 times a day . Maintain good oral hygiene . Do hot formentation of cheeks and jaw .
