Suggest Treatment For Teeth Cavities In A 5 Year Old Child

Question: Hi Doctor, My son is 5 year old and has developed 2 cavities in his lower teeth, which we came to know in his recent regular dental checkup. However, he does not have any pain and he brushes regularly. Do we need to go for filling at this time? As my understanding is that teeth for children of this age would drop off anyway and new permanent teeth would develop. Please advise.

If your son's teeth has cavities then it should be filled to prevent pain due to reaching of Infection deep into the nerves of teeth..

Yes the milk teeth will fall but till they are present in mouth, they need proper care and management..

So it is advisable to get the teeth filled..
