Suggest Treatment For Symptoms Of Tinnitus
Question: Hello, I am 58 years old I have been having buzzing sound in my left ear since 10 days, I consulted ENT specialist, who prescribed Cetrizine for 5 days and Otrivin Ear drops, as the problem did not get better I was asked to undergo audiometry test for ear testing. The result of the test has shown age related hearing loss upto 20%. Otherwise there is no major issue. My ENT doctor has prescribed stugeron forte once at bed time along with Otrivin nasal drops for a week. I had relief from the buzzing sound for a day after two days of medicines. But it has again recurred. Does Stugeron cause hangover and slight head ache in the morning. Is the line of treatment correct for the problem. I take Olmin 40 CH for high blood pressure.

If I were your treating Doctor for this case, I would advise you
Check your blood pressure & if it is high increase dose or use combination drug only,
If bloop pressure is under control
Use plain stugeron 25mg at night
Steam Inhalation twice daily
Saline nasal spray thrice daily
Antihistaminic levocetirizine + Montelukast combination at night
Yes, stugeron forte cause hangover and slight head ache in the morning.
Don't use Otrivin Ear drops more than 7 days
You will need to see your doctor to get a prescription
