Question: I think I have pleurisy again and I cannot remember if I took antibiotics last year with that bout. Could you advise?

It depends on underlying cause of it. If this is caused by bacterial pneumonia then antibiotics must be used. In other cases only paracetamol or indometacin are usually enough.steroids are rarely necessary. To verify the cause your need to do xrays and lab parameters. It will show us signs of pneumonia,pleural effusion or something third.
