Suggest Treatment For Symptoms Of Heat Exhaustion

Question: My husband suffered heat exhaustion playing softball on Friday. He threw up and sweated profusely. He has been very tired since, feels fuzzy in the head. We cooled him down on Friday with air conditioning, wet towels, and a drink with electrolytes. Once home a cold shower, bed rest, cold compresses. Should he be feeling normal by now. It's been three days and he has been resting in AC.

Brief Answer:
Likely to be due to electrolyte imbalance

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on Health care magic.

I have gone through your query and understand your concern. It seems that your husband has salt imbalance due to electrolyte depletion. Give him ORS (Oral rehydration solution) as well as juicy fruits like citrus fruits. That should help. If the condition does not improve it might be a good idea to visit a doctor.
