Question: Today my wife was baking a cake and I licked the bowl and there a couple of spoon fulls. About 3hours later
I started having gas pains and when I have gas pains, not very often, it usually takes awhile for the gas etc. to make all the way to my butt. I went and sat on the toilet about 5 different times but I would have the pain then a few seconds later I could feel bubbles in my stomach and the pain would go away. This usually how it is whenever I have had gas in the past. I did strain a little too much I think on one of my trips to the toilet, a little poop came out but no gas yet. When I wiped my butt is had fresh blood on it. This happened once before a few years ago when I pushed too hard. On the 6th trip I the gas and diarrhea came out. I felt better, wiped, nothing more than diarrhea and the liquid that usually accompanies it. I had dinner about an hour later, green beans and rice but not too much. An jour later I had a little discomfort and had just a little diarrhea, I thought it might have been the leftover so to speak.
2hours later I was sitting at my desk and I had to pass some gas nothing out of the ordinary but it wasnt gas, I thought I just had an accident, removed my pants, didnt really look at them right away sat down really nothing came out. I went to wipe and there was this this thick mostly clear stuff on my butt. I washed it off and when I looked in my pants there was the same stuff. I am 51 years old, I havent been diagnosed with anything other than acid reflux. Nothing out of the ordinary today except for cake batter.

Brief Answer:
Stomach flu or Gastroenteritis most likely.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for choosing HCM for query,

You are suffering from gastroenteritis also known as stomach flu.It is an intestinal infection marked by diarrhoea, cramps, nausea, vomiting and fever. However all symptoms are not present in every patient.Bacterial and viral infection causes inflammation in your stomach and intestines causing symptoms like vomiting, severe abdominal cramps, and diarrhea.
Treatment
Take imodium(Loperamide) 2mg one tablet stat.
Start taking a probiotic twice daily,Probiotics contains lactobacillus. These bacteria's help in proper digestion of food and will help to revive your depleted gastric flora.
Drink plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration–You need to drink more than usual to replace the fluids lost from diarrhoea.
Take orange juice it contains lots of potassium.
Proton pump inhibitor like Esomeprazole(Neksium 40mg) should be taken once daily,it will provide symptomatic relief in belching and gas problem.
A stool routine and microscopy test should be done to rule out bacterial infection. In case it's bacterial Cefixime and ofloxacin can be given for 3 days.

Most of the time its self limiting and take 4-5 days to settle down.
Thanks.
