Question: Hi Doctor, I am having pain on the middle top of the head and becomes jerking while i breath (both normally or during having cold). currently having cold and the mucus is dark yellow when i flush my nose.
Also a very weired sensetion persistes at same location.
The pain whai i feel is between 'middle top of head' and 'behind nose inside'.
I feel it is sinus infection but not very sure.
I usually avoide medicines.
The severety has decreased but afraid of ruptures in brain or any other because of additional symtoms:
1) eye pain in eyes during eye movement.(vision also jerks)
2) Scalp has loosed. (I also have vitamin defeciancy, about 8 of the meaured unit. Have started supplements of weekly Vit D and daily Calc Tabs. now need to check levels)
3) jaws also having mild pain feeling of pulling of nerve. esp. left.
4) neck getting stiff.
5) pain on back , center between lobs
6) ticking and nauseatic feeling
many more.
Pl. Help

Brief Answer:
Mostly CRS (Chronic RhinoSinusitis)

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

1. With so many symptoms, you should get examined by an ENT consultant. At this stage it will be better to start with medication including a course of antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medication, anti-allergic decongestants, mucolytics, and steam inhalation. These will ease your symptoms.

2. If the symptoms persist after this medication, get a plain Sinus CT done. It will help immensely to check for sinusitis.

3. Avoiding medication during severe episodes causes the delicate linings of the nose and sinuses to become chronically inflamed and in the long term causes Chronic RhinoSinusitis (CRS).

4. Rhinogenic or sinus related headaches can only be confirmed if there are changes in the nose and on the Sinus CT scan. If these are within normal limits, a Neurologist's opinion is required to diagnose other causes such as migraine or stress headaches.

5. These symptoms are common and usually affect quality of life and are not serious in majority of the cases. Hence there is no cause for worry.
I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.
