Dear Sir

Consult a Neurosurgeon. He will order an CT Angiogram of Brain . That will confirm or rule out an aneurysm

I had an EEG done about 3 weeks ago that came out to be abnormal with focal slowing in the right frontal lobe of theta wave frequency slowing. Ive been having migraines every day. Tension in my head and neck as if there is a tight band around my head, like someone is crushing my brain. I also have involuntary muscle spasms daily. They were only before sleep when they began and then the progressed to during the day. Now they arent so much active at night but more active during the day and are strong at times. Theyre very scary. It feels as if my brain dies for a second and my body jolts to restart my brain. Im terrified of what could be wrong .

Brief Answer:
Brain MRI.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for providing the details.

In background of EEG showing focal slowing in right frontal lobe,it becomes mandatory to get a brain imaging done to look for the pathology or the cause of focal abnormal electrical activity.

I suggest that you should undergo a MRI of brain with contrast study. If you have already got one, please upload the report of the same as a scanned jpg document.
Treatment will depend on the pathology.
All your symptoms including headache and tension in the scalp muscles, can be primary as well as due to a secondary intracranial cause.EEG abnormality, makes it imperative to look for secondary cause.

Hope that helps. If you have some further questions,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up.

I have an MRI schedueled but it will be without contrast on saturday. Im afraid i have unruptured anuerysm, or brain tumor which i have feared since my younger yeara due to anxiety and panic disorder. Im really afraid and im just looking for clarity and peace of mind until im able to get the MRI done. You said my tension headaches are symptoms of something concerning??

Brief Answer:
Should get MRI with contrast.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being in follow-up.

I just meant that the presence of focal EEG slowing increases the chances of detecting an intracranial pathology.

MRI Brain should be done as a contrast study.

Hope that helps. If you have any further questions,I shall be pleased to answer them.

Mine was ordered without so im not sure if i can change that but i am just feeling off and not like myself lately. I have weird sensations in my head and i feel DIZZY and disoriented, almost detached from myself. I feel as though my brain dies and my body jolts as a restart to my brain. All my blood work has come back good as well as EKG to rule out problems of the heart. I find myself feeling as tho im going to drop, or worried of how am i actually doing things which doesnt make sense. I feel like something is pulling my brain. And i have headaches that usually start in my neck and radiate up into my head. Im terrified that im soon to pass away or have a massive seizure of some sort. Does any of this sound like something youre familar with?
