Question: I am 75 , male and have Parkinson's. I was in emergency 2 weeks ago where they discovered that a piece of stool had opened up the valve between the large and small intestine. They sent me home after much blood work and c scans and x rays. Everything else checked out ok. I am currently feeling weak, dizzy and very slight nausea. Food does not appeal to me at all.. can you advise?

Brief Answer:
Advise Gastrointestinal Consultation

Detailed Answer:
It sounds like the condition you suffered from is a fistula. Usually the symptoms will cause continual discomfort, diarrhea and abdominal abnormalities until repaired. I must ask, have physicians you spoke with scheduled any repair, surgery and or medications for your condition?

Thank you for your response. My nephew (a surgeon - ENT - in Montreal) asked me the same question. No suggestion was made to have surgery. I will push this further and appreciate your professional assistance. G-d bless.
