Brief Answer:
Swollen parotid gland

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

It looks like your wife has inflammation of the parotid gland. I recommend you to do the following

1. Cold compress the swollen area for 5 min, 4 times a day
2. Tab Levocetrizine twice daily is the ideal anti inflammatory drug to be taken twice daily
3. Avoid spicy food
4. Avpid cold food and beverages
5. If the gland gets red, swollen and painful then please approach an ENT surgeon for an x ray, sometimes the gland gets swollen because of stone blocking the drainage of it

I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me

Regards
