Question: I was wonder my both sides of my neck under my ear, and both side of my groin are having pain. From what ive reaserched it seems that it could be lymphnodes. What could cause this pain i resently got over the flu! Also had a full std panel 4 months after my last possible exposer to all stds all were negative. Any ideas why this could be happening.

Brief Answer:
hi

Detailed Answer:
Well yes,it sounds like some systemic infection that caused generalized swollen lymph nodes and you should do further tests to rule out most common causes such as mononucleosis, hepatitis, herpes, urinary infection or std. You should check liver enzymes, do uriniculture and respiratory swab tests. If lymph nodes enlarge then you need to rule out some hematologic diseases. Wish you god health.regards

I was recently checks for chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, hepatitis A B and C, herpes 1&2, HIV anti-body, hiv PCR RNA, and mono. All tests were negative except for HSV 1 which I had as a child. Do you still think any of these could be the cause

Detailed Answer:
It is possible but not likely. It is good that you ruled out these infections. If there is no palpable node in neck or inguinal are then it doesn't need to be lymphadenopathy l. Try to take standard antiifnlammatory painkillers and rest. If lymph nodes enlarge, you should do ultrasound. Other possible caus s of such pain are some autoimmune diseases, rheumatoid diseases but it is rare in your age
