Brief Answer:
Lymphnode getting smaller is sign of recovery, review medications

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. A lymphnode swelling in probably the head and neck region with draining right ear and nasal passage indicates an acute infection.

2. I hope you have consulted your doctor and are taking treatment for it.

3. Lymphnodes are an immune mediated mechanism that help fight infections. Therefore if you had the lymphnode then it was your system fighting the infection in ear and nose. This can be a viral flu with secondary bacterial infection.

4. Lymphnodes get smaller with recovery from the infection. However if your drainage from ear and nose are persistent or increasing then please consult your doctor for a review of medicines and antibiotics.

5. Infection in the area causes inflammatory signs which is seen as flushing. The development of cold feet is not related to your head and neck infection. Please control water entry in to the affected ear. Also do warm water gargle twice daily for a week. Eat healthy home cooked food and take rest for few days. Avoid exposure to dust pollution and extreme temperature. Drink adequate amount of water and fresh juices.

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

So....temperature & lymph nodes have no correlation.. meaning ..while infected lymph nodes heal ..temperature isn't a factor..or anxiety?

Brief Answer:
Infective neck lymphnodes cause local rise in temperature and no cold feet

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

1. A small lymphnode in neck and cold feet are not related.

2. Inflammation usually causes increase in temperature in the area where it is present.

3. The cold feet cannot be due to your lymphnode swelling in neck. it appears to be due to anxiety.

Hope your query is answered.
