Brief Answer:
Can be abscess due to remaining root

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for writing in.

As per your history, you had traumatic extraction & mild swelling after such procedure is normal.Since its been 3 months & swelling has not subsided & healing has also not occured:-
- there might be some remaining root stump left which has caused swelling.
- could be fracture due to excessive pressure applied.

To rule out, you need to get an OPG done & consult your dentist. Meanwhile you may take antiinflammatory pain killers. However my patients prefer serratio-para- diclo combination along with amoxiclav 625 after consulting dentist.
Do cold fomentation.

Hope I answered your query

Wishing you good health
