Brief Answer:
go to emergency

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question.
Swelling and redness in one leg is very concerning for a blood clot, called a deep vein thrombosis. This can move and go to your lung and cause a pulmonary embolus which may be life threatening. It is very important for you to get this examined and get an US with doppler to rule out thrombosis. It is also possible that it is infection or other cause but it is very important that you go to emergency now and make sure it is not a blood clot

Dr. Robinson
