Brief Answer:
YES

Detailed Answer:
Hi friend,

Welcome to Health Care Magic

Metpure-AM 5 contains Metoprolol 50 mg and S-amlodipine 5 mg.
Seloken XL 50 contains only Metoprolol 50 mg

Amlodipine is a Calcium Channel Blocker (CCB) dilates the blood vessels and hence can cause swelling of legs. It is safe to stop it. It can be stopped abruptly.

Metoprolol belongs to a class called Beta (Adrenergic) Blockers. Both the preparations, you mention contain the same amount of this drug. You can switch over, without any issues.

Watch your blood pressure.
It may go up – because you will be taking only a single drug instead of two, you were taking till now.
If it rises, one can add a drug from another class / there are several classes of drugs and several drugs in each class. Usually, any one from a class like - ARB (Angiotensin Receptor Blocker) / ACEI (Angiotensin Converting Enzyme Inhibitor) / Diuretic (water pill) – may be added

Keep in touch with your Primary Care Provider
You need follow up and appropriate prescription
Prognosis is generally excellent in such situations

Good luck
God bless you
