is there anything I can do to relieve the swelling at home? I am starting
to feel like I am catching a panic attack because I can't swallow my mucus. however I can eat and breath fine.

However it is strongly suggested that you meet your doctor once and get examined for any other conditions inside your throat like an infection or inflammation which might be causing difficulty in swallowing.
