Brief Answer:
As detailed below.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query, albeit short and specific.

To recapitulate: Female/72 - right foot/ankle hurt - swollen - toady right leg swollen from knee down - knees started giving out a couple of months ago - have bumped leg on several occasions - diabetic with HbA1c of 7 - overweight - high blood pressure - medications noted well ..

I would advise you the following :

Rest to the affected areas.
Swelling and pain indicate that there may be an internal injury which needs clinical evaluation, examination and investigations like preliminary X-rays.

Further management will be as per the findings and further investigations if needed like MRI of the knee or the affected area.

Vitamin D estimate and supplement as per the reports.
Anti-inflammatory medication like Ibuprofen (400mg twice daily after food for next 2-3 days) along with a PPI/antacid like Omeprazole (20mg twice daily before food during the course of anti-inflammatories).

Control of blood sugar well under consultation of your Doctor/Diabetologist.

I hope this answer helps you. Feel free to ask further.

Take care.
Get well soon.
With Regards.
