Question: My boyfriend has a bruise on his leg that looks like its in his blood veins with clear fluid coming out of it. It does not hurt and is not warm to the touch. What could it be?

This is superficial thrombophlebitis and this is not serious condition in most cases but it must be treated with antibiotics before it spreads more!! He needs to rest ,apply cold compresses on it and simply must start antibiotic therapy. Don't wait till it progresses. If there is fever he should go to hospital and have intravenous treatment and heparine. Wish you good health.regards
