Posted on Mon, 14 Apr 2014
Question: hi, I just came back from a holiday from the sea beaches and now I have a rash all over my face. My face is slightly swollen up as well and there are small pigments covering the entire cheek, forehead and nose area. Please advise how to treat this.

Brief Answer: details below Detailed Answer: Hi, Thanks for writing to us. From the description it looks like, you could be having sun burn. if you could send a good resolution pic, it would help me in confirming the diagnosis. in the meanwhile,to treat the same 1) do cold water compresses over face 2) Apply mild steroid cream like fluticasone or hydrocortisone twice in a day 3) Use a mild aloe vera gel based moisturiser 4) avoid direct sun exposure till your face gets back to normal. 5) take oral antihistamine like cetrizine twice in a day 6) Increase water intake. Hopefully in few days, your skin would get back to normal. Take care
