Suggest Treatment For Sudden Weight Loss With Abdominal Pain

default
Posted on Tue, 21 Jun 2016
Question: My husband, who is 48 years old, has been experiencing severe abdominal pain. He has lost about 20 pounds in the last month without trying. He has not been able to keep any food down since Friday. He had similar symptoms last year without the weight loss and vomiting. He went to the ER then, they did a CT scan (I think), but didn't find anything wrong. I'm trying to convince him to go in now, but he's afraid they will say the same thing. Thank you for any advice you can give!

Brief Answer:
Needs work up andmanagement accordingly

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern, Sudden weight loss with abdominal pain and such episodes in past , if recurring should be re evaluated despite normal previous results. There is no harm in getting the pain managed and one should not deny going to hospital to get it checked out. I am sure it will be nothing more than some bowel cramps etc. But it still needs work up to confirm.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
