Suggest Treatment For Stress And Anxiety

Question: I am 31 years old and Male.

For about 8 months now I have felt as though my body is reacting in a very sensitive way to everyday basic stress, excitement, and minimal anxiety.

When I do everyday tasks like concentrate on my office work or try and problem solve something I find my body becomes extremely intense, rigid, with constant adrenalin rushes and a racing heart.

I do not fear anything, and my mind is not worried about anything. I just do everyday normal things but feel as though my body's reaction to everyday situations is being magnified 1000 times more than it should be.

This happens to me everyday and is persistent. It begins gradually throughout mid morning and by afternoon it will begin to peak. By the evening I feel extremely exhausted.

I also notice that when I am rest my pulse is bounding.

Seeings as my symptoms persist everyday, I really do not think that this is just stress related.

Do you think there may be any underlying cause to any of this?

Does this sound like syndrome of some kind?

Are there any tests I should ask my GP for to help get a diagnosis?

Thanks

Brief Answer:
Nothing worrisome,following test advised....

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.

1. You are reporting to have a stressful day, which ends up with feeling your heart beatings more than usual.
At this point, I advise to run further cardiac tests to rule out organic problems like:
- heart issues: ECG, holter monitoring, echocardiogram
- thyroid function test
- complete blood count to rule out anemia
- blood electrolytes

2. Monitor your blood pressure and heart rates on daily basis, record the results to pass to your physician (you can let me analyze them for a second opinion too).

3. Try not to skip meals. I understand you are working hard. Sometimes, you might skip your lunch due to a meeting, etc. Try to have your meals regularly. And try to eat healthy foods (avoid fast foods). In this way, you will supply your body and brain with right nutrients getting you ready to overcome more work.
At the end of the day, you won't be exhausted, but a little bit fatigued.

Prepare some good fruit/vegetables juice to have during your breaks to get fresh and with new energy.

Monitor your blood sugar levels at the moment you feel exhausted or feeling your heart beating more.

Try to be more physically active. Long walking or jogging while breathing fresh air can also help.

You can discuss all my suggestions with your GP and hope that will help you resolve your problems!
All the best!
