Question: hello! for about four months I have been having stomach issues that have progressively gotten more and more extreme consisting of these symptoms :

I appreciate your concern

Based on your description, these symptoms need further workup. Light stool can be a result of obstructive jaundice especially with dark colored urine. Liver function tests and an ultrasound of the abdomen pelvis can be advised.

An x ray erect abdomen with both hemi diaphragms should be done. If there is no or little flatus passed during the pain abdomen / stomach episodes then a small bowel obstruction should be ruled out. A triphasic CT abdomen with both oral and IV contrast can be advised in this regard.

In the meanwhile, treatment for GERD can be given with PPIs like esomeprazole to see for improvement. Testing for H. Pylori and an upper GI endoscopy can be planned if the symptoms persist.
