Brief Answer:
Primary stabbing headaches.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

By description, this type of head pain is known as stabbing ( or ice pick ) headaches.

In most of cases, it is considered as primary headache, in other words, no underlying causes are found.

Since they last shortly and are unpredictable about timing, it is difficult to treat them.

Indomethacin is found to improve this type of headaches, if taken prophylactically.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

In good health.
