Brief Answer:
Don't worry, your lumps are benign in nature.

Detailed Answer:
Brief Ans-Don't worry, your lumps are benign in nature.

Hi,Thanks for your query to HCM.
Dear, based on the description of the query, these lumps of both husband and wife, seem to be from Lymphadenitis.
Normally lymph glands beside your jaw(Jugulo Diagstric nodes-JD neck lymph glands) are not enlarged and are not palpable as well.
But due to occasional throat infections, the responds by immune reaction of the regional nodes. In the process your lumps have enlarged and palpable.
As the infection is not current and active in the throat or the surrounding draining area of the node, they are painless in your case

My impression about your query-
Your Nodes are benign in nature. You should just neglect them as they indicate the old throat or tonsil infection and not causing any pain or trouble to you.
They don't any further attendance or treatment unless they grow in size or they become painful or increase in number

Hope this reply would help you to resolve your health problem regarding this query.

Welcome for any further query in this regard.

IF you don't have furtehr query,I would appreciate You,to write your excellent feedback comments,to help the needy patients like you,at HCM services.

Good Day!!

Hello, I am 29yrs old female with weight 43kg & height 5.4. I developed TB Lymphadenitis over left supraclavicular region in sept 2012. Did FNAC which showed occasional AFB & kochs. Consulted the physician. he started me Rcinex EZ, Leon 500mg od & benadone. After completing 6months regime he told me that there is a residual node of 2x2 cms which is not to worry about. but there was no weight gain at that time, weight was as it is. but in again sept 2013 i had bleeding PR with severe anxiety. Showed to surgeon , he examined me & told there are 1st degree piles. I also asked him about that node, He told me to consult Physician again. The other Physician told me that u have taken inadequate treatment since the node is still there. Again done FNAC which suggested necrotising lymphadenitis favouring kochs. Again started akt with akurit 4 3tabs daily before lunch. After completing 2months. the physician said that the size of the node has not reduced then he shifted me on line 2 which included strepto 0.75mg daily IM, Ethomid 250mg BD, Rimactazid 750mg & Lcin 750mg after lunch. I developed severe gastritis, nausea, vomitting, tinnitus, metallic taste & was unable to take food or even aroma of food. Lost again 2kg weight in 15 days.It came down 41kg. My life became hell at that time. then consulted other PHYSICIAN who calmed me & told not to worry about. Only take Rimactazid for 4 months & forget that u had tb. please tell me whether i am going correct??? it is almost 10 days now i have shifted to rimactazid, feeling ok but i just developed slight tenderness over that node since 2 days.. what to do??? my parents are looking for my marriage.they are also too worried. please help me out.. i don't want to die...

About 2 and a half years ago I started to have headaches and overwhelming tiredness.

I was sent for an MRI and everything appeared normal.

A couple of months later I started to suffer from recurrent infections and illnesses.

In the last 2 years I have had many infections including:

Recurrent UTI's, kidney infection, recurrent uvulitis, ear infections, recurrent thrush, lymphadenitis and cellulitis (the last 2 requiring hospitalisation).

I have also had lots of viruses, colds and flu symptoms. I also suffer from a lot of sores, on my mouth and in my nose, and get lots of mouth ulcers.

On a regular basis I suffer from migraines/headaches, aching limbs, neck, shoulders and backache, numbness in arms and hands, with loss of dexterity in the fingers, fatigue, skipped heart-beats and chest pain, 'brain fog' (confusion and memory problems, sometimes slurred speech) and occasional blurred vision, occasional low grade fever, and more recently muscle twitching, spasms and cramps.

I eat a healthy diet although I am unable to exercise due to chronic pain. I have put on 2 stone in 2 years but this may be due to lack of exercise and my age - 40 years. ( I am now about a stone overweight) I have also had bouts of depression, usually as a result of being so fed up of it all.

I was referred to an Infectious Diseases Specialist about 18 months ago, and initially it was suggested possible CFS. She has run many blood tests to rule out things like thyroid, diabetes and HIV, and I have also had an ECG and cardiac scan.

Although my blood tests are usually relatively normal (apart from when I am really ill), the one thing that does crop up almost every time is a low white blood cell count. Neutropenia and leukopenia have been noted on several occasions.

I recently had another test and all was normal apart from a low absolute leukocyte count (normal range 1.5 - 4.......mine was 1.1).

As yet I still don't have a diagnosis.

Am I right in assuming that the reason I am always getting ill is because of the leukopenia? Or is the leukopenia a result of always being ill?

Do you have any ideas of what could be the cause?

Or any suggestions of a diagnosis?

Or can you suggest or recommend any more tests?

I would be very grateful for any assistance, thanks.

hi dr, my daughter 8moths got a lump near her left arm pit, bcg shot was given in the same arm. We had taken two drs opinions and two diff diagnosis. Genaeral surgeon says it is lymphadenitis and the other dr paedatric surgeon, not able to give a proper diagnosis. He says it is a cyst as per the CT scan with extensions or could be a tubercular lymphadenitis due to bcg or???. Anyway we have been adv no surgery and to take her for continous follow ups to a peadiatric surgeon. please adv as we are really confused.

hi. Ten days back i suddenly noticed a swelling in the area below my left ear. It was very sudden- over about an hour- it was not painful and caused no problems- no fever. Went to the doc the same evening and got a prescription for antibiotics ( milixim) and chymoral plus- for lymphadenitis. The doctor repeatedly asked me if i was febrile any time around this attack- no!. The ESR showed 58mm/hr and so I also assumed it is some sort of an inflammation. Did a hot formentation for comfort. After about 4 days I noticed this swelling to be hardened but no other symptoms and so the doc referred me to the surgeon and he asked for an FNAC which showed non specific reactive lymphadenitis of the left jugular lymph node. He had parotid adenoma and tuberculosis also in his mind. The swelling has not reduced but remained hard and firm but is painful now. A second opinio was taken and again an FNAC was done ( result awaitd) and u/s suggesting paortitis. It is almost 10days now and the pain is severe and is causing discomfort in the left side around the ear and neck but have to wait till the results. Doctors are thinking of lymphoma, tumor etc etc. I always thought tumors were painless.? Will tumors just pop up suddenly over an hour? should i take some anti inflammatory drugs over the counter for the pain? Will a hot compress help in reducing the inflammation? Pls advice
