Suggest Treatment For Spots On The Clitoris

default
Posted on Thu, 24 Nov 2016
Question: I have small, what looks like cluster of spots, right below my clitoris. I noticed them Sunday and the size has not changed. The only times its “sore” is when touched and part of it almost looks raised. I have STD testing done 2 months ago but herpes could not be done, due to timeframe of who I was with at the time. Now this shows up. I was with a new partner recently so now I’m worried
All the research I’ve done, say herpes would be very sore and grow in size. I have no other symptoms of that either

Brief Answer:
Doesn't look like herpes, but we can't say it for sure unless you get tested

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using HCM to post your health query.
I saw carefully the photo you have uploaded and read your description. I understand your concern.

What I am seeing and understanding does not look like typical herpes. Herpes has a red base in the lesions and those are very painful. But also there are very variations of herpes- some people feel just the burning sensation and no sores, some people have just sores and some other have it and show no symptoms at all.
So, since you have a new partner, which I am not sure if has been tested or not, the risks are the same as before. We cannot say it is not herpes, unless we have it confirmed by the blood tests. It is good to rule out the other sexually transmitted infections as well because they spread in your body and may cause problems in the future.

Hope this is helpful.
