Transcutaneous electrical stimulation/Intergrating alternating therapies.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX carpenter,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.

I understand your concerns well and will try to answer this to make it worthful.

As far as the advanced treatment methods are concerned, Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation(TENS) has been used in patients having pacemaker.I am not sure if you are referring laser for the same technique else please be specific about what laser technique are you talking about, for neuropathic pain.Spinal cord stimulation is another technique which can be used and has a better safety profile in patients with pacemakers, as compared to TENS.

You may refer to a nearby pain clinic, for elaborate discussion on the above techniques.
Further, intergration of acupuncture, chiropractor and physical rehabilitation specialist's services will help improve the pain situation. Opioid medications may be used for short term, if not tried previously.

Hope that I have answered your query. If you have some further questions,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up.

Regards
Dr.Ajay Panwar,
MD,DM(Neurology)
