Question: I had a real scratchy throat start quickly and 10 minutes later I had gagged up a hard rubbery nickel sized thing. What is it?

This is a thick mucus plug. Don't worry it happens in cases of throat infection.

I just started amoxicillin 3 times a day 2 days ago.

Thanks for the information.
The pictures are showing that you have tonsillitis.
Take tablet amoxicillin plus clavulinic acid 625 mg twice daily and tablet levocetrizine plus phenylepherine combination twice daily for a week.
Use hexidine gargles and take tablet vitamin c once daily.
All the medicines I have prescribed will be available at prescription only.
