Question: I have had a sore throat and my left ear has been ringing and is blocked (sometimes painful). Today my left eye is very red. Should I worry and go to a doctor?

Is the redness of one eye related to the infection? I can see through it properly but it's slightly irritated.

When viral infection of upper respiratory tract is set, it is also associated with redness of the eye. It will be subsided in a few days. Keep the eye well cleaned:
- mix 1 part baby shampoo with 5 parts warm water
- clean your eyes; can use cotton buds to clear the eyes; remember to use one clean cotton bud for each eye
- rinse well
- at the end, rinse with chamomile tea
If the redness will persist for longer than a couple of weeks, then, should see an ophthalmologist for further evaluations.

Last question. My left ear has now had a static for 3 days. Should I be worried about a hearing loss and check it up with ENT specialist?

If your left ear has been static for 3 days now, then, should get further consultation with ENT specialist to evaluate current problems and get them treated accordingly. Perhaps, you might need prescription medicines.
To my opinion, there is no fear for hearing loss until the inflammation is completely subsided. If that will continue for a few weeks, then, we can discuss about hearing loss.
For the moment, the problems are only related to viral infection you are going through that might be possibly complicated with bacterial infection. This is what we need to get further checked by ENT specialist and get it specifically treated.
