Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat, Diarrhea And Lower Abdominal Pain
Question: I have symptom: sore throat, hurts a lot when swallowing, especially at night, congestion in the voice box, fever of 100.8, general malaise, and aches and pains, dry kind of cough that comes and goes. This started coming on Tuesday on a return flight from London. The few days before I had a painful spot on my lower left abdomen and diarrhea. That cleared up by Sunday. i don't know if it is connected or not, I thought it might have been something I ate..

My Opinion-
Dear after reviewing the given information of dry cough after left lower abdominal pains with diarrhoea,the sore throat which hurts on swallowing seems to be mostly due to GERD-Gastro-Esophageal-Reflux-Disease with acid reflux,causing vagal irritation cough from esophagitis and gastritis,due to food induced IBS while in London.
-Other causes of sore throat needs to be investigated by Consults with a team of ENT/GI/Surgeons and General Physician.
Do's Suggested-
Bland vagan with low solids-diet with liquid base in plenty x for 3-5 days,
Yoghurt x 2 times a day with rice/
Butter Milk x 2 times a day.
No nonveg/ spicy,street fast food x 10 days
Medicines-
PPI-like Omprezole with Domperidone(gastrokinetics)-1 x 2 per day/2 weeks
Cap Sporlac-probiotics x 2 weeks
Antibiotics with anti-protozoals -like Ciplox-with Oz x 7 days
Tab Dicyclomine with Tylenol-x for 1-3 days to control fever and pains,aches.
Sublingual Tab Vit B12+ Folic acid with Multivits and zinc, magnesium -like micro nutrients-for 1 week,which would replenish and would recoup you fast from this food induced attack
With this you should be out of this dry cough with GERD with Food induced IBS.
