Brief Answer:
lymph nodes respond to inflammation/infection

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Chronic sinusitis can cause repeated intermittent sore throat because of the associated post nasal drip of mucus.

If there is a goitre associated with the hashimotos , it is possible that it is compressing the throat which may also be associated with pain.

Sinusitis may be associated with enlargement of the lymph nodes in the neck.
These lymph nodes respond to infection /inflammation of the body and may become enlarged.

Normally they decrease in size 4 to 6 weeks after the inflammation or infection has been appropriately treated.
If it remains after this time then you can consider assessment by your doctor.

Sinusitis treatment would involve : (1)avoiding the allergen provoking the reaction if it is known
Allergy testing may help determine the exact allergen/s . This can be in the form of blood tests or skin prick testing

(2)topical nasal steroids sprays

(3)anti histamines

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
