Hi, thank you for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.

Looking at your symptoms, you are probably suffering from Inflammation in the upper respiratory tract (throat and voice box-larynx).

You may find relief by taking following medicines:
Analgesic with Anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen (200mg thrice daily after food for next 2-3 days),
Antacid like Rantac (150mg twice daily before food),
Antihistaminic like Cetrizine(10mg once daily),
Cough expectorant like Ambroxol (10ml thrice daily).

If you are suffering from high grade fever (more than 101 degree Fahrenheit), severe throat pain, or no improvement in your symptoms after 3-4 days etc then it may be suggestive of a bacterial infection, in that case you may need to start antibiotics like Cefixime (you need to get prescription from your local physician for this).

Also give the voice rest as long as you can. Don't speak in high piches or whisper. Speak only if it is necessary. Before speaking, take a deep breath and speak softly.

Do steam inhalation. Do warm saline gargles.Drink plenty of fluids (warm). Avoid cold, spicy and oily food. Avoid dust, smoke and other pollutants.

Hope this answers your question. I would be happy to answer if you have any follow up questions.
