Brief Answer:
Need to rule out meningitis

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic,

A sore throat followed by stiff neck raises the concern for meningitis, which is an infection of meninges(covering of the brain).

Meningitis requires prompt medical attention, clinical evaluation and treatment with antibiotics.

Blood culture, CSF analysis, and culture are required to confirm the diagnosis.
Please be advised to follow up with the emergency room as soon as possible.

Hope this answers your question.
